From 09. - 19. Oktober 2005 the Bremen Piano Contest ´05 will take place -as
usual for all European countries, including the CIS, Turkey and Isreal and under the
Patronage of our Federal foreign minister.
In a conference on the 10th of June the chief Committee admitted 54 young Pianists
from 17 european countries to the Contest.
With an extensive Solo Repertoire, as well as an optional Piano Concert of Mozart,
Beethoven, Chopin, Liszt, Rachmaninov or Tschaikowsky the competitors will present
themselves in three rounds and the Finale with orchestral accompaniment to an international
Jury.
This time there is a work especially composed upon order for the Contest 2005.
This Composition "Drei Stufen für Klavier" from Violeta Dinescu will
be played in the third round and as a first performance in the final concert.
From Monday, 10. Oktober till Sunday, 16. Oktober 2005 there will be three solo rounds
in the studio of Radio Bremen Broadcasting. The Finale with Orchestra will take place
on Tuesday, 18. Oktober 2005 at 19:00 p.m. - the final Concert on Wednesday, 19. Oktober
2005 at 19:30 p.m. - in the big hall of the GLOCKE in Bremen. We will hear the Philharmonic
Orchestra Bremen under the conduction of István Dénez.

The Bremen Piano Contest'05 is endowed as following :
1st Prize - EUR 8.000,-- (Sparkasse Bremen),
2nd Prize - EUR 5.000,-- (Familie Saacke),
3rd Prize - EUR 3.000,-- .
Prize awarded by the public - EUR 1.500,-- (Weser Kurier Bremen)
Moreover the Jury gives away several supporting prizes.
With the Winner we will produce a CD after the Contest.
The contest will be organized by the Landesmusikrat Bremene.V., Sparkasse Bremen, Radio
Bremen and GLOCKE-Veranstaltungs-GmbH.
